Finally I found time to pen down my KL trip. (exactly 1 week from my trip)

So here goes.

Woke up early at 6am with a super blur fucked look. The 2 hours of sleep wasn't enough. I did some last minute packing and off to catch the coach at Le Meridian Hotel.

Got a missed call alert and a sms from Kel which read "Dun tell me you are still sleeping..."

Girl, if I was still sleeping, by the time I read that, it would be too late...

I woke up early okey?!

Anyway our coach was a luxurious Double Decker. Tour agency is Luxury, confirm coach also luxurious lah! Woooo.... Early morning lame cold jokes....

So its "I'm leaving on a jet place… don’t know when I'll ba back again" *stop disc. "I'm leaving on a coach, will be back on Sunday night"

Wats wrong with me?! Guess is the 2 hours sleep thus I need some self entertainment to keep myself awake!

We took the 2nd linkway which was a brisk! We cleared the M'sia custom before 9am.

First stop, was to Yong Peng. Images of the dirty, smelly, disgusting toilet start flashing across.

I got a total shock. They revamped the whole place.

Gone are the filthy and disgusting toilets where you are greeted with the puking smell miles away before even reached.

Gone are those wooden folded tables and uneven metal chairs.

Gone are those houseflies, no matter how you shun them away, they won't moved.

It’s a much cleaner, neater and organized!

We had sucky fake Ramly burger which the pacik forgotten the spicy power. Yuck! Cheat my money!

We continued our journey with another toilet break. Yes I’m impressed with the overall cleanliness.

When I board the coach in the morning, I was telling Kel that I won't step into any of the toilet along the journey coz the toilets are damn dirty. And if nature calls need to be answered, I would tahan till hotel.

M’sia really redeemed themselves after years of complain.

We checked into Hotel Istana, 5-star hotel. Room was great. View was great. We washed up and photo whore a while before heading out for SHOPPING

Shopping was concentrated at Jalan Bukit Bintang area like Sungei Wang, BB Plaza, Lot 10, Starhill Gallery and etc.

Guess my favourite shopping mall throughout the whole trip has got to be Sungei Wang. That’s like tons of things to buy! I bought my boots, jackets, tubes, ear rings, bracelets and heels there. The discounts were great!

We also went to areas like Mid Valley Mega Mall, Chinatown, Suria KLCC, and KL Plaza

When they say Mega Mall, its really mega mall. Every shopping mall is like at least 6-7 storey. area is like at least 2 taka combined together. They have wide variety og goods. Kaoz! S'pore shopping malls are really thumbed down.

I'm sure you girls heard abt VNC, there is this store call NOSE, their selection of footwear is great! I nearly lugged everything back.

We found this store call Girls. Everything there is so PINK! Kel said its very me. No its not! FYI, I dun really like pink. But, things there aren't cheap. wanted to buy a pair of hairclips for baby, but after the conversion, not much difference from S'pore.

The roller coaster was too fast for me too catch.

We didn't try the rides as we just has lunch. I dun wanna puke thru the ride. So unglam!

Overall shopping was great except Chinatown! The si hiam zai (I heard that's how they call their ah beng) damn low.

I turned around, gave them a dirty look and walked off.

Wats wrong with this people? Anyway, we didn’t stayed them for long due to the ugliness of the SHZ, not much variety of goods, pricy goods, flooded with branded goods.

But, Chinatown redeemed itself with the yummy food. We had claypot rice, BBQ stingray. Others like Ipoh horfun (near the popular bookstore), is good I heard.

There are a lot of buskers along the street. So we were munching yummy claypot rice, spicy stingray while listening the Hotel California. East meets west!

Those who are going food yummy food can try places like Jalan Alor, Jalan Imbi,

We had champion noodle at Jalan Imbi (that’s how David term them)

Do take note that there are 2 stalls of the similar name. This is the signboard of the correct stall.

Its quite easy to navigate with the maps if you know the street name. If you are somewhere near and can’t find, ask around, people there are very helpful or you can use your instinct, whichever stall is the most crowded, that’s the one.

Oh ya! There is chia siew place at this street Tengkat Tung Sin. Its behind Jalan Alor highly recommended by Bam.

Ai yo, the chia siew really can die for! I worship them!

So tender, so fatty, so sticky! I've never eaten such mouth watering chia siew before. Even those from Tunk Lok can't compair.

Please rem to visit them when u are there. Do note that they only operate in the day. so its better to go there for lunch. The store is inside a corner kopitam. When you walk into the street sure can find them.

There is also a beef noodle store opposite them. I suspect its quite good coz its damn crowded. Whoever, going there, pls try and feedback ah.

We wanted to go to Jalan Alor to try the roadside stalls. Unfortunately, we didn’t go as the second night was raining so we settled with Indian food near our hotel. Its called Eskana Indian Food. The tandoori and Masala Fish, shoick!!!

Clubbing in KL, well, for those who intend to visit Zouk KL, I would suggest you don’t waste your fucking time! Its disappointing! Velvet was still alright, a mere pass.

Zouk? Fail! -50 points!

The crowd sucks! The DJs sucks which resulted in sucky music! Why bother to have 5 DJs at the DJ counter yet none can play a decent number?!

The place was flooded with non Chinese.

Dance with all the fancy hand movement. The whole place only remind me of Canto and Sparks.

Never in my life have I clubbed for only approximate 3hrs and left. (We reached there at 11 plus and left before 2)


wah lau eh, we doll ourselves up for Zouk, this is what we get?! Unfair!!!

We went to Jalan P Ramlee, where all the pubs and clubs are located. Dave told me that should go to this place call Thai Club which was alright. Music was acceptable.

BUT.... The DJ damn sleazy. Whole night was saying LJ and CB.

DJ: Alright everybody, you are having a contest. Winner will get “Chocolate Banana Ice-cream” whahahahah~!~!~

Funny? I dun think so lah dey!

The crowd there quite rowdy! They just pushed their way thru without opening their mouth to say execuse me.

There was this guy held 2 rock glass and came forward and offered us a drink. While the rest of the guys juz stood there and watch what happened next.

Do you think we would be so dumb to drink them?!

The DJ ask if there was any lesbian around, we put up our hands and that was it. No one came forward to us and left us all alone to enjoy. Until much later this group of guys came forward to intro themselves. They sure dun speak like M'sian. They spoke good english. Impressed!

Drinks there were about the same price over here. 1 Jug of draft beer is abt S$23.

We ordered 1 jug, finished and order the 2nd Jug. Stoopid Bartender wanted us to ordered 2 jugs. When we told him that we can't finish, he offered to help.

WHy would I waste $$$ on you?! Dream on~~~

People at the club really got no dress sense.... Apply to both male and female.

By the way, I think the guys there are pathetic. Throughout the 3 days there, I only saw like 3 good looking ones, and one of them is a tourist. So strictly speaking only 2.

We went to the twin tower.

Nah we didn’t get to go up to the sky bridge. Tickets were all given out. We were so determined to go the next day that we set the alarm at 6:45am and morning call at 6:45 and 6:50am

End result, we slept thru again due to partying from the night before.

Ispired by 1 of the epi from America Next Top Model, I took this with my new boots

I told Kel to give me a ***** look and this is what happens...


I shall help the tour agency to do a little promo here. Luxury Tour from Le Meridian hotel. Good service. Throughout the journey they played Coach Carter adn Herbie to keep up entertained. Serve us with water and food (cream bun for breakfast) the Tour guide was very helpful and friendly. To think that we paid S$149 for a 3D2N package (5 star hotel + return coach). Its was money well spent.

I guess on the whole the trip was fun but tiring. It was a great company. Though its pretty much like Singapore. But heck, everything is in ringgit, so its a good reason to go.

As for the cabbies there, they are alright. If you can speak cantonese, it would be a bonus. My dear partner felt so left out coz she dun really understand Cantonese. Even during shopping when the sale person spoke to her in Cantonese. So, I've have to be her translator. :)

Throughout the journey, I friendly with the cabby, gave me tips where to visit and where the good food were. He even told me the maximum to pay when we are going back should the cabby ask for a flat rate. Good old man!

All cabby charge flat rate on Fridays and Saturday. Seldom you will find those go by meter. But some do, like in my case, when we were going to Chinatown. We were lucky! He said we are chinese so he go by meter. If me are ang mo, den it would be flat rate.

As I promised on Thursday before I left, my entry will definetly not be titled "KL pretty much sucks"

these days my sleeping hours has very much lessen for 1-2 hours.

chatting on the phone at wee hours brought back school days memories.

now that I think back...

kaoz! where got so much things to chat when we were so young.

now that we have all grown up and experiences so much things in life, seems like we got nothing much to say on the phone.

most of the time both will held onto the handset and keep quiet.

perhaps when we were much younger cannot go out often, thus telephone is the main mode of communication.

Bam asked if I'm in love... well, I won't say I'm in love... but I'm feeling happy.

Happy that both us want something in common and are willing to work towards it.

but I guess now is still early to conclude anything.

the hanging out and getting to know each other session has been going on smoothly.

its also tiring coz the working hours are different so to meet up is always late at night. Even the phone conversation is also in the wee hours.

Oh well, I'm leaving for KL on Friday and be back on Sunday. I need to recharge my battery. Been looking forward to the trip to get my mind off work. Though its not to anywhere fantastic, but at least its outta Singapore, and I get my passport stamped! I've check with David on where to find yummy food and happening clubs and I'm armed with lots of info. Since all of us are first timer to KL, I thought we better do our homework. I guess its the typical me. I like to plan the itinerary before i step my foot onto the foreign country. I will have to find out where are the happening and must visit places, where can find yummy food, where to get good bargain etc. In another word, I like to be in control. I hate to waste time thinking "Alright, where shall we go today?!" By the time everyone agreed, half day will be gone. With the info that David provides, I'm sure my Monday entry will not be titled "KL pretty much sucked" I'll take note of the cabby there and make sure they go by the meter.

Remember the girls met up 3 weeks ago before Adeline's wedding, where we discussed what to wear, how to sabo the guys etc?

We had the dinner at this fabulous Italian restaurant at Robertson Quay where they serve yummy pasta, champion pizza and delicious lasagna, and I charge the bill to my credit card....

Log on to my internet banking to pay my bills and that transaction was not capture.

I remembered the date clearly that it was within the cut off window period.

I told bam abt it and he said sometimes this happens...

Well, I say I hope this happen every month and to every of my transaction!

My usual route back home from town : whichever expressway>PIE>exit Bedok Reservoir> Tam Ave 10 > right turn at junciton.

Yday the cabbies drove me off to some ulu padang place despite directions has been given.

When he exit at Bedok Reservoir, I told him to go straight toward Ave10 make a right turn at the junction.

I closed my eyes for a while. When I opened my eyes, I wasn’t anywhere near my place, but at the end of road heading towards Pasir Ris.

First thought, what the hell is he bringing me to? Both side of the road are tress, trees and trees.
I yelled at him.

Me: Oei, where you bringing me to?
Fucker: XXXX (that’s my address)
Me: NB, we are heading towards Pasir Ris. Both are of fucking different direction. Bloody hell! I told you which route to take, you didn't listen izit?!
Fucker: Orh, ermmm…sorri sorri, I missed the traffic light…
Me: *got ready my mobile* in case he didn’t make a U-turn, I will dial for help

Deep down, I was reprimanding myself for dozing off. I was dead tired after the long day at work and I went drinking after knock off. (Actually I didn’t drink much, Bam can be my witness)

Throughout the whole journey, I rested my eyes. As in closed for a while, opened up to check where was I.

I can’t imagine what would have happen to me if I didn’t opened up my eyes and checked.

Lets say the cabbie was outright to cheat me, took the longer route so that he can earn a few dollars more.

Or worse, he is bringing me to …..

WTH was I thinking, how could I let such things happened...

We always hear people saying Singapore is a safe country. Its safe to travel till late.

I say fuck that!

Perhaps mine is the extreme case and it seldom happened. But who can deny that such things do happen.

To date, I’ve yet to read in the papers of such cases. But maybe it did happen and the victims didn’t report.

To those who didn’t report, you are damn silly.

my teeth still hurt like crazy due to the chinese medicine that the sinseh prescribed. Yup! I went to the sinseh!

Actually I was accompanyed mama there, then decided to let the sinseh give me a good massage since my stiff neck has been torturing for the longest time. Plus every night I sleep, theres endless things for me to dream about. That is why, no matter how many hours I sleep, Its NEVER enuff.

aniwae, cut the story short, he gave me some medicine to take and this was what caused my toothache. Its suppose to expel all the "heat" that is trapped in the body.

Chinese difficult???

All this while, I have been hearing students complaining Chinese is difficult to learn and that it is useless. So much as that MOE has decided that in future Chinese grades will not contribute to the overall result (something like that)

Recently, we have seen MOE trying hard to revamp the content of Chinese textbook to make it more interesting. Teachers are encouraged to use creative teaching methods for Chinese language.

Creative teaching in terms like learning Chinese words through song lyrics, playing specially customised cards to learn idioms (something like poker cards), playing specially customised tiles to learn the construction of each chinese words (something like playing mahjong) etc

I ask myself, why students of today are complaining that Chinese is difficult to learn. Are all these creative teaching tool neccessary?

Never have we heard about students complaining about Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, and other subjects.

In my opinion, these subjects are content base, you only need to understand the theory or formula and apply it accordingly

But for English and Chinese, it’s a language base subject, beside the curriculum time, the environment is important. Cultivating the habit for speaking the language helps a great deal in mastering the language.

I think to master the language; both teacher and parent play an important role.

Lets take me for example.

Back in school days, I don’t have any problem with Chinese. I was a straight As student from primary to my secondary school. I scored distinction for Chinese during PSLE and O level.

To be frank, I was never a hardworking student. Even for my other subjects, I only start studying at the last minute.

I guess from young, our family converse in mandarin and so, both my brother and I do not have much problem with the language.

The down side is probably, we can’t speak our dialect well. My grandparents had a hard time talking to me. Its always a chicken and duck conversation.

I only started to speak Cantonese when I was in primary school. How I pick up? Back in those days HK drama was a hit. Watching it everyday and listening to the songs got me interested in learning the language.

I would replay the song a million times, going through the lyrics over and over again just so I can pronounce the words correctly.

As for my English, nope, I wasn’t an A student, my grades were mostly between Bs and Cs. Not much of a problem when I speak.

Like I mention earlier that teacher plays an important part. I still remembered during my sec 4, O level for Chinese was taken in June. Result will be out somewhere in July. If you are unhappy with the grade, you can retake the paper in November.

My school implemented a new scheme. They spilt all of us into 3 categories. The As, the Bs and the Cs. Needless to say I went to the A class for Chinese lesson where majority of the students made up of pure science stream. Only a few of us from art class were there.

The teacher was a snob! We need to know all the words we learned since sec 1 and were tested every week. We need collect news paper cutting every week and hand in a book review on the articles. You can’t imagine how many composition and comprehension we need to do every week.

It was a total put off and I couldn’t be bothered to hand in any of the assignment nor learn the spelling. I don’t understand why those pure science students can put up with that. Get a life and quit being teacher’s pet!

Disgusting!

Every lesson was for me to sleep, munch and listen to my Discman.

My common test result was a flop. I barely passed. Since I was from the art class, and with my behavior in her class, I was condemned. She told the rest of the students I would flunk my Os if I don’t follow her curriculum.

During the meet-parent-session, she complains till the kingdom come to my mum. I feel like slapping her face. Couldn’t contain any longer and told her right in her face that I don’t think the tons of assignments are going to benefit us. She was purely stuffing us with all the information, hoping that we can absorb as much as possible.

Hopeless bitch! And with her saying I’ll flunk should I not follow what was planned for, I’ll proved her wrong! I am going to ace my Os without doing any of her assignment but to study on my own.

With that I drag my mum and left the office. She was fuming mad.

Following that, I sat through her lesson, listen to my Discman and studied on my own. I was there is the class because the lesson was conducted in air-con room not that I was listening to her lecture.

What was my result? Distinction! Yup! She was shocked!

My point is, the teaching method and the teacher’s attitude are crucial. If only teachers can listen to the student, there wouldn’t be what so call generation gap.

Changing of teaching methods is necessary in order to keep up with time.

Honestly, I am glad that that I can speak and write good Chinese.

My current job requires me to draft Chinese faxes. Sometimes we need to deal with the Chinese, being able to speak the language benefit the negotiation process.

When I watch Japanese DVD like Initial D, able to read the subtitle is great. I must say the English translation is sucks!

If you notice, I also blog with Chinese. Sometimes, Chinese words can better narrate one’s feeling.

I really don’t see why Chinese is useless. One need to be enroll before doing it.

Already, we can't speak proper english. If we can't speak chinese as well? How to communicate? Neither here nor there.

Sometimes when I make a business enquiry, I get put off with the sale person not able to converse properly.

"erm I tuay. but have to see when you confirm and fax to me then I tell my operlation people to start. Deliveli not so fast hor, now bery busy. You want fast, you pay more lah, then I faster do for you"

Bus driver blind?!

Was waiting for bus 33 along Lavender St.

I sat at the first row of seat, saw bus approaching, and flag down. Too late, the bus zoom pass and so I thought, maybe I 反应迟钝

Decided to walk to the end of the bus stop where most of the time the bus will stop to pick up passengers.

Waited patiently saw 3 buses approaching and the last one was bus 33. I quickly ran towards the other end to flag down.

Guess what?! The bus driver didn't navigate the bus towards the bus stop.

Bus driver blind?! Or he only want to quickly reach the terminal so that he can have his dinner?

So now, how should I flag down the bus and make sure he sees me?

Hmm...maybe I should show him my 美腿, shite! But I was wearing pants.

I decided to stand in the middle of the bus stop. Even when my legs were aching from the high heels, no I didn't sit down.

I was angry coz here I am kan cheong about gram's operation, the more I want to rush to the hospital, and yet the bus missed me.

a week ago....

1 week ago, upon receiving an account statement from my gym demanding for outstanding payment. I called up the office and did a shameless act.

I cook up a story in order to get them to reverse the charges and activate the last month membership payment which I paid in advance upon signing up the contract.

I was shameless. I told her that I will be outstation for 2years and it's a ulu padang area, and since they do not have a branch there, I will need to terminate my membership.

I also said that I wasn't aware that the termination form has to be submitted 5working day before the GIRO deduction date and that when consultant did not advice me on that.

Thus, I need them to settle this issue asap as I'm "leaving" end of the month.

Yes I told a lie. But I've got no choice and got to do it coz these people are incorrigible and you have got no idea how they suck my money dry.

I was smart this time, no I didn't kick a big fuss about it but I spoke to the lady politely and act innocent.

I added this "I'm sure there is something you can do for me and appreciate your help"

The gang had a good chat and we decided to adjourn to Ink for a drink but Jeff and Sook Bing had to leave coz they had programs after the dinner.

At Ink, I ordered my favourite Champaign. Moet! In fact 3 glasses. Oh ya and a tequila shot thanks to Kel!

We left the place at about 11plus.

Met up with him at his place and slept over. We had too much and slept like a dead log.

5mins before the meeting start, she ask you to attend the meeting.

You are required to brief everyone what is required from them.

And when they start asking question which is beyond your level of aswering, the bosses juz kept quiet and expect you to give an intelligent answer and commit.

WTF!!!!

First, you have no respect for me as your subordinate and didn't inform me about the meeting.

Second, I didn't prepare the neccessary data for the meeting and thus fail to convey the message

Third, I dun sit in the office to serve you. I serve the company not you. Dun fucking expect me to srop whatever I'm doing and come serve you.

Fouth, when pple ask you question, you give a irrelevant answer, and make us look like idiot. As though I know nuts about my JOB!!! Smart Alec!

You know what, I feel like I'm a 7-11. Serious, so used and filthy. People dun even respect me at all.
